Welcome to the 2005 OxHA Annual Review.
The first Oxford Health Alliance Annual Review, entitled A World at Risk, was released shortly after the World Health Organisation's groundbreaking report called for immediate action to stem the fast-rising tide of chronic disease. It was, in fact, created with this timing in mind, and is in some ways a companion piece to the WHO report. While the report aims to convey a sense of the year just passed, the focus is on action. The Alliance's recently launched CAPCoD programme is detailed, and the Review also singles out unfolding news stories of critical importance. The Review is written in accessible language and is designed to communicate effectively to a wide variety of international audiences.
