Community Action to Prevent Chronic Diseases - now renamed Community Interventions for Health
Introduction
Community Action to Prevent Chronic Diseases – CAPCoD – is the name originally given to OxHA's community action arm – putting the evidence on prevention of the epidemic of chronic disease into practice. CAPCoD pilot sites
Currently (as detailed in the information about CIH) there are likely to be eight pilot sites:
- China
- India
- Tunisia
- Mexico
- Argentina
- Israel
- UK
These sites were chosen from 26 CAPCoD finalists, chosen from 67 RFAs received in February 2005. The 26 finalists come from across 19 countries (see below).
CAPCoD Conference, May 2005
CAPCoD/CIH is about developing innovative research projects from all over the world to make a difference over the course of the next five years. In May 2005, a Conference was held at Yale University for the CAPCoD finalists.
